BLUESTEM DESIGN CO TERMS AND CONDITIONS (REV 2024)
DEPOSiTS
A deposit of 50% of the final project cost is due upon scheduling unless a previous agreement has been established between the client and Mihaela Zollinger of Bluestem Design Co (henceforth known as “Bluestem Design Co” or “designer” in this document. This deposit is nonrefundable except under the circumstance of the designer not finishing the project by the date agreed to by both parties when all content requested has been provided. The remaining balance will be due once website ownership is transferred to client or completion of design. The full purchase amount will be due even if the client chooses not to use the final website design, logo, etc. Payment of deposit by the client stands as acknowledgment of the deposit and payment policy of Bluestem Design Co. Bluestem Design Co withholds the right to start the design process without a formal deposit but the total amount for the project will be due before any final files will be given to the client or website launch.
E-COMMERCE AND OTHER CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Bluestem Design Co is not an e- commerce sales, shipping or tax professional. Any and all e- commerce settings, payments, taxes, shipping etc. should be consulted by a professional. The setup done by Bluestem Design Co that includes Payment, Taxes, shipping etc. is done as a basic service. Please be aware of your state and or Countries requirements for sales tax, sales permits etc. You have sole responsibility for any costs, settlements, damages, or procedures involved in any and all online sales and/ or requirements. Should any dispute arise involving any information or lack there of for the use of online selling via a website designed by Bluestem Design Co, the client assumes full legal and financial responsibility.
If the client provides any content to be used in the project, they are subject to intellectual property rights by a third party. The client will secure the appropriate rights to use the materials before directing Bluestem Design Co to incorporate them into the project. Bluestem Design Co reserves the right to request a copy of the obtained rights. Should any intellectual property dispute arise involving materials the client provided, the client assumes full legal and financial responsibility.
REVISIONS
Bluestem Design Co offers three standard revisions for each project. After the third revision, the project will no longer be revisable. (Any additional revisions for logo design are at the discretion of the designer which may or may not incur an additional cost.) At that time, the project will be considered complete and the remaining balance of the project fee will be due. Revisions include minor alterations to color, images, font, placement, and verbiage. Revisions to larger elements or themes of the project are considered a total reworking of the project and will incur additional fees and potentially extra time required outside of the originally agreed upon time frame.
